Salem African Methodist Church

Through God’s Word, Salem African Methodist Episcopal Church, being united in Christ, shall engage in a caring ministry, having members to evangelize as Disciples of Christ. Our primary vision is to inspire our members to love their neighbors as they love themselves by keeping the commandments of God.

​The mission of Salem AME Church is to meet the spiritual, physical, and social needs of all people through love, unity, the knowledge of God’s Word, and evangelism by spreading the Gospel, equipping them, through faith, and having one intent of purpose; to be believers and followers of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), and to follow the ministry of Jesus Christ as demonstrated and instructed in the scriptures. (Matthew 9:35, 10:7-8, and Luke 9:1-2). It is our desire to inspire Godly living which should move the membership forward with confidence and advance forcefully in wisdom, power, and boldness that is ours, as children of God. We must regularly remind ourselves and members to keep the commandments of God as a major part of our mission as Christians and followers of Christ.
